Once upon a time in a kingdom of wine, there lived a king named Grape. He was known for his love of wine, especially the rarest and finest varieties. King Grape had a cellar full of the best wines from all over the world, but one day he realized that he had tasted all the wines in his cellar and was bored.
King Grape wanted to try something new and so he sent his trusty servant, Sommelier, on a quest to find the rarest and finest wines in the land. Sommelier traveled far and wide, and after many adventures, he returned with eight bottles of wine. The bottles were labeled Albariño, Auslese, Beaujolais, Banylus, Bardolino, Barolo, Barbaresco, and Arneis.
King Grape was so excited to try these new wines that he called for a grand feast to be held in his kingdom. The tables were set, the guests were invited, and the wine was uncorked. But as King Grape took a sip of the Albariño, he realized that something was amiss. The wine had turned into grape juice!
King Grape was so shocked that he immediately took a sip of the Auslese, but it too had turned into grape juice. He tried the Beaujolais, Banylus, Bardolino, Barolo, and Barbaresco, but all of them had turned into grape juice as well. King Grape was devastated.
Just when he was about to give up, Sommelier suggested that they try the last bottle of wine, the Arneis. King Grape took a sip, and to his delight, it was still wine! It was the most delicious wine he had ever tasted.
King Grape was so grateful to Sommelier for finding the rare Arneis wine that he made him the head of the wine-tasting committee. Sommelier was overjoyed and promised to find even rarer and finer wines for the kingdom.
And as for the seven bottles of grape juice, well, King Grape drank them all and declared that from then on, his kingdom would only serve the finest wine, like the Arneis, and never, ever, grape juice. The end.
