Buck the Honest and the Tumbling Hatchet

Once upon a time, there was a little buck named Buck who lived in the forest. One day, the President announced that he was going to cut down all the trees in the forest to build a new playground. Buck was very upset and decided to stop the President. So, he went to the President's office and said, "No way! You can't cut down all these beautiful trees."

The President replied harshly, "I am the President, and I can do whatever I want."

Buck was not going to give up that easily. He remembered his dad telling him to always be honest, so he said, "Sir, I am an honest buck, and I have something to tell you. When you cut down these trees, all the animals will have nowhere to live."

The President thought about it for a moment and realized that Buck was right. So, he handed Buck a hatchet and said, "Here, you do it. Cut down only the trees that are causing trouble."

Buck happily took the hatchet, but as he was walking through the forest, he stumbled and fell, causing the hatchet to tumble down a cliff.

The President asked, "Did you cut down any trees?"

Buck replied with a smile, "No sir, but I did teach them to dance!"
