Once upon a time, there was a tortoise who lived in the jungle and loved to play jokes on his friends. One day, he saw an okapi, an elephant, a giraffe, a pangolin, and a monkey all walking by. The tortoise had an idea for a new joke.
He called out to them, "Hey everyone, come here! I've got a short joke for you!" The animals gathered around the tortoise and listened intently. The tortoise began, "Why did the tortoise cross the road?" The animals waited with baited breath, "To get to the shell station!"
Everyone, except the pangolin, burst out laughing. The pangolin said, "I don't get it." The monkey jumped up and down, giggling and said, "That was shell-larious!" From that day on, the tortoise was known as the joke-telling tortoise and the animals couldn't wait for his next joke. The end.
