The Dictator and the Forbidden Sugarcane

Once upon a time in the Pantanal, there was a dictator who ruled over a plantation. This dictator was known for being very strict, but also loved cassava more than anything in the world.
One day, while exploring the highlands near a tributary, the dictator found a field of sugarcane. He had never seen anything like it before and decided he wanted to try it.
However, the Catholic priest in the town warned him that sugarcane was forbidden and would be a sin to consume. Undeterred, the dictator snuck into the field at night and took a bite of the sugarcane.
To his surprise, it was incredibly sweet and delicious. From that day on, the dictator became obsessed with sugarcane and would sneak into the field every night to steal a few stalks.
Eventually, the people of the town caught on and started calling him "The Sugar Thief". The dictator didn't care though, he was just happy to have found something sweeter than his beloved cassava. The end.
