Once upon a time there was a warrant for the arrest of a mischievous monk named Brother Spiteful. He had caused trouble in the kingdom with his spiteful pranks, but was always one step ahead of the authorities.

One day, an archer named Robin was on a mission to capture Brother Spiteful and bring him to justice. Robin followed a shaft of light that led him to a dark and gloomy forest where the monk was hiding.

But when Robin finally caught sight of the monk, he found that Brother Spiteful was actually quite glum. It turned out that all of his spiteful pranks were just a way to cheer himself up because he was feeling down.

Feeling sorry for the monk, Robin invited him to join him on his adventures, and the two became fast friends. They traveled from village to village spreading laughter and joy, and eventually the warrant for Brother Spiteful's arrest was forgotten.

And so, the once spiteful monk became known as the Jolly Archer, spreading happiness wherever he went.
