Read together
Once upon a time, there was a Confederate representative named Billy Bob who loved to have fun. He lived in a land where people were divided into two groups - the Confederates and the Abolitionists. One day, Billy Bob decided to run for office as part of a campaign to secede from the land of the Abolitionists.
However, things took a turn when a group of abolitionists found out about his plan and declared him a fugitive. Billy Bob had to run away and hide in the forest. But he didn't lose his sense of humor.
One day, while hiding in the forest, Billy Bob came across a group of animals who were discussing an amendment to their constitution. Billy Bob couldn't resist the opportunity to make them laugh, so he jumped up and said, "I may be a fugitive, but I still know how to represent the Confederates!" The animals all burst out laughing, and Billy Bob became their official representative and entertainer.
And that is the story of how a Confederate representative became an abolitionist's greatest ally through laughter and wit.
Talk about it
