The Great Classroom Switch-Up

Once upon a time, there was a chair who loved to play tricks on his classmates. One day, he decided to play a trick on the pencil, schoolbag, board, ruler, rubber and sharpener. The chair convinced them all to switch places for a day, so the pencil became the ruler, the schoolbag became the rubber and so on. Chaos ensued as the objects struggled to perform their new duties. The sharpener couldn't sharpen anything because it was now the schoolbag, the board wouldn't write anything because it was now the pencil, and the ruler just kept falling over. Eventually, they all realized that they were much happier in their original positions, and the chair apologized for his mischievous ways. From then on, they all got along and had lots of fun in school together.

  3. What did they all realize in the end?
  4. Can you think of another object that could have switched places with one of the characters?
  5. Why do you think the chair apologized at the end?
