Once upon a time, there was a drum who loved to play with a ball. They would roll around together, but the drum always wanted to go on adventures. One day, they saw a top spinning by and asked if they could join. The top agreed, but said they needed to find more friends to make their adventure complete.
So, they set out to find other toys. They found a bus, a doll, a kite, a lorry, a bell, a box, a car, and a ship. The drum suggested they all play together, but the ship said they only play in the water. So, the drum had an idea to fill the bus with water and make a pretend ocean for the ship to sail in.
They all climbed into the bus and the drum started to pour water from a bucket. The water spilled everywhere and soon the bus was filled with water! The ship was so happy and started to sail around, but the ball got stuck in a corner and couldn't get out. The lorry tried to help, but the ball was too big for it to lift.
Just then, the bell rang and the toys realized it was time to go back to the toy box. They quickly drained the water and packed themselves away, but the drum was worried about the ball. Suddenly, the box opened and the child who owned the toys saw what had happened. They helped the ball out of the corner and the drum was so grateful.
From that day on, the drum, ball, top, bus, doll, kite, lorry, bell, box, car, and ship were the best of friends and went on many more adventures together.
