The Table's Lesson: A Musical Chairs Adventure

Once upon a time, there was a table, a bag, a pencil, a chair, a book, and an eraser who all lived together in a classroom. The table was always bossy and liked to boss the others around. One day, the bag suggested a game of musical chairs. The pencil was thrilled and the eraser was excited too. But when it was time for the game to start, the table refused to play. The table said that he was too important to play games. So, the bag, pencil, chair, book, and eraser decided to play without him. They had so much fun, they laughed and danced, and even the chair did a little jig.

After the game was over, the table realized how much fun he had missed out on. So, he asked if they could play again tomorrow. The others were happy to have him join in, and they all lived happily ever after playing games and having fun together.

The End

Reflections

  1. Why did the table refuse to play musical chairs at first?
  2. How did the other objects feel about the table's attitude?
  3. What changed the table's mind about playing games?
  4. What did the table learn from this experience?
  5. How did the story end?
