The Clothes' Playdate

Once upon a time, there lived a group of clothes who lived together in a wardrobe. Shoes loved to play and run around all day, but he never had anyone to play with. One day, he saw Tracksuit stretching and decided to ask him to play. But Tracksuit replied, "I'm too busy getting ready for my workout later."

T-Shirt came along, and Shoes asked him to play, but T-Shirt responded, "I'm too busy keeping cool and comfortable for my owner."

Feeling sad, Shoes wandered off and stumbled upon Hat, who was sunbathing on a shelf. Shoes asked Hat to play, but Hat replied, "I'm too busy protecting my owner's face from the sun."

Just when Shoes was about to give up, he saw Trousers and Cardigan having a tea party. Shoes ran over and asked if he could join them. Delighted, they welcomed Shoes and they all had a fun time together.

Dress, Socks, Coat, and Shorts soon joined the fun, and they all played together until it was time for bed. Shoes realized that even though they were all different, they could still have fun and be friends.

The end.

Reflections

  1. Who was Shoes' first friend he wanted to play with?
  2. Who eventually became Shoes' friends?
  3. What did Shoes learn about his friends?
  4. How can we be friends with people who are different from us?
