Once upon a time, there was a group of vegetables who lived in a garden. One day, Cucumber suggested they play a game of hide and seek. Onion, being the seeker, counted while the others hid.

Cabbage found a spot behind a bush, Potato dug a hole and covered himself with soil, Lettuce snuck into a salad bowl, Tomato disguised herself as a ripe fruit, Carrot buried himself in the carrot patch, Peas hopped into a pod, Corn disguised himself as a stalk and Eggplant blended in with the eggplants.

When Onion finished counting, he couldn't find any of his friends. He searched high and low until he heard a giggle coming from the salad bowl. He found Lettuce hiding inside and one by one, he found all the other veggies. But when it was Eggplant's turn to be found, Onion looked everywhere but couldn't find him.

Just then, Eggplant popped out from behind a tree and shouted "Surprise!" causing Onion to jump with fright. The rest of the veggies laughed and cheered for Eggplant's cleverness. From that day on, they played hide and seek every weekend and had loads of fun.
