The Picnic of Inventive Vegetables

Once upon a time, there was a group of vegetables who lived in a garden. Pepper, Potato, Onion, Salad, Cucumber, Corn and Carrot were the best of friends. One day, they decided to have a picnic and each vegetable brought their favorite dish to share.
Pepper brought a spicy salsa, Potato brought mashed potatoes, Onion brought onion rings, Salad brought a big leafy salad, Cucumber brought cucumber sandwiches, Corn brought corn on the cob, and Carrot brought carrot cake.
But when they sat down to eat, they realized they had forgotten utensils! So, they had to come up with creative ways to eat their meals. Pepper used his pointy hat as a spoon, Potato used his arms as chopsticks, Onion used his layers as a fork, Salad used her leaves as a napkin, Cucumber used his coolness as a refreshment, Corn used his husk as a wrapper, and Carrot used his long body as a straw.
The vegetables laughed and enjoyed their picnic, grateful for their friendship and ingenuity. The end.
