Once upon a time, there was a cat named Mittens who loved to play with her ball. One day she found a kite and decided to play with it too. But she got so carried away that she accidentally knocked over a jar of jam, which ruined her hat and ball.
Feeling sad, Mittens went for a walk and met a frog who offered her an apple. She gratefully accepted and as she ate it, she saw a glass egg on the ground. She picked it up, thinking it might make a nice toy, but it hatched into a tiny doll! The three new friends, Mittens the cat, the frog, and the doll, played with their new toys, the kite, apple, and egg, and had so much fun that they forgot all about the ruined hat and ball.
