Once upon a time, there was a pen named Penelope who loved to write stories. She lived in a book and one day she decided she wanted to get out and explore. So, she climbed out of the book and onto a chair. But the chair was too high for her, so she jumped into a bag.

In the bag, she met a ruler named Rudy who was very strict and always measuring everything. Penelope asked Rudy for help getting out of the bag, but Rudy said, "I only measure, I don't help."

Just then, a pencil named Penny appeared and offered to help. Together, they tried to find a way out of the bag, but every time they tried, Rudy would measure the gap and say it was too small.

Finally, they stumbled upon a desk and saw a key lying on it. They quickly unlocked the bag and made a run for it, but Rudy chased after them, still trying to measure everything.

Penelope, Penny, and Rudy ran all around the desk, dodging pencils, paper, and erasers until they finally found a cozy spot to rest. They all lived happily ever after, writing, drawing, and measuring to their hearts' content.
