The Giving Tree and the Sharp Branch

Once upon a time, there was a large tree in the forest. It was so big that all the animals in the forest could live in it. The tree had many branches, but one branch was empty. The animals decided to give it to the little squirrel who lived in the forest.

The squirrel was so happy to have a new home, but he realized that the branch was too sharp and he couldn't sleep on it. He needed a cushion to make it comfortable.

So he went to the other animals and asked for help. They all thought about what they could give to help the squirrel. The rabbit said, "I can give you one of my soft ears." The bird said, "I can give you some of my feathers." And so on, each animal gave a little something to help make the squirrel's bed comfortable.

In the end, the squirrel had a full and soft cushion to sleep on. He was so grateful for the help of his friends and he slept soundly every night on his new bed.

The end.
