The Happy Little Girl with the Broken Toe

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sarah who had long hair. She lived in a big house with a large hall. One day, she found a hammer in the hall and decided to try it out. She swung the hammer with her little hand, but something unexpected happened. The hammer slipped from her hand and hit her toe! Sarah was not happy.

She cried and cried, but her tears would not make the pain go away. Her mother came to see what was wrong and found Sarah sitting on the floor, holding her toe. "What happened, Sarah?" asked her mother. Sarah told her about the hammer and how she hit her toe.

"Oh my, that must have been hard," said her mother. "Let's put some ice on it and take you to the doctor." They went to the doctor, and he said that Sarah had broken her toe. He put a cast on her foot and told her to stay off of it for half a month.

Sarah was sad because she wouldn't be able to play with her friends or run around outside. But then she thought about all the happy times she had spent with her family and friends, and she realized that she was still happy despite her broken toe. She smiled and said, "I'm still happy, Mom. I have a lot of love in my life."

And so, Sarah learned that even when things don't happen the way we want them to, we can still be happy if we focus on the good things in our lives.
