Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily who loved to play with her toys in the bathtub. She had an apple, watermelon and a marble. She wondered which ones would float and which ones would sink in the water.
She dropped the apple in the water and watched it sink to the bottom. Next, she placed the watermelon in the water and it also sank. However, when she put the marble in the water, she was surprised to see it float!
Lily was having so much fun discovering which of her toys would float and sink that she didn't want to get out of the bathtub. In the end, she learned that some things float and some things sink in water depending on their weight and volume.
