The Arrowhead Hunt

Once upon a time, a child went out to play,
With a mission to hunt and find something today,
A treasure to cherish and keep for all time,
A shiny arrowhead to call their own, so sublime.

Off to the fields, they went with their friends,
In search of a prize, a joy that never ends,
Through the meadow, they ran and they played,
Till they reached the limestone counter, so beautifully laid.

On its surface, they found slate and granite,
And obsidian shining bright like a planet,
The child picked them up, one by one,
And said, "These are pretty, but I want an arrowhead, hon."

The hunt continued through the day,
With a spirit of adventure and a will to slay,
And then, finally, they found what they were looking for,
An arrowhead of beauty, and a prize to adore.

With joy in their hearts, they ran back to their home,
And showed their parents what they had found on the roam,
The arrowhead was kept with care and love,
And the child said, "I'm so happy, and it was worth the hunt, and for what it was."
