Sally's Adventure in the Woods: A Lesson in Staying Warm

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sally. She loved to explore and play outside, but one day she got a little too adventurous and ended up getting lost in the woods.

As she wandered around trying to find her way home, she noticed that her head felt heavy, her nose was running, and her fingers were cold and numb. She realized that she must have caught a cold from being out in the damp woods for so long.

Sally wrapped her hands around her arms to try to keep warm, but her fingers still felt like ice. She wanted to blow her nose, but her hand was too cold to reach her face. She decided to use her elbow instead.

As she walked, her legs began to feel wobbly and weak. She stumbled and fell to her knees. She was about to cry, when she saw a light in the distance. She got back up and walked towards the light.

When she finally reached the light, she saw that it was coming from a little cottage. She knocked on the door and a kind old woman answered. The woman took one look at Sally and knew she was lost and cold. She took her in and gave her a warm blanket and a cup of hot cocoa.

Sally told the woman how she got lost and the woman listened with a smile on her mouth. She then helped her to find her way home.

Sally was so grateful to the kind woman, and from that day on she always made sure to be more careful when exploring. And she always remembered to cover her head, nose, fingers, hand, arm, knee and legs when she went outside in the cold.
