Once upon a time, there was a small village at the foot of a mountain. The villagers loved to play in the snow, but every year as summer approached, the snow would recede higher and higher up the mountain. They were sad because they wouldn't be able to play in the snow anymore. But one year, something amazing happened. The snow line was much lower than usual, and the villagers could play in the snow for longer! They played till late in the evening, making snowmen and having snowball fights. When they finally went to bed, they woke up to a surprise. The snow had been compressed into ice, making it easier to slide and have even more fun! From that day on, the villagers never took the snow for granted.
