The Ten Little Friends and the Quest for the Forest Treasure

Once upon a time, there were ten little friends. One was a rabbit, Two was a bear, Three was a monkey, Four was a bird, Five was a dog, Six was a cat, Seven was a mouse, Eight was a fox, Nine was a horse and Ten was a sheep.

They all lived in a magical forest where they would play and have fun together every day. One day, they decided to go on an adventure to find the legendary treasure of the forest.

As they started their journey, they had to cross a river. Two, the bear, suggested they build a raft to cross the river. Three, the monkey, climbed up a tree to find some strong branches for the raft. Four, the bird, flew to the other side of the river to check if it was safe to cross.

Five, the dog, helped to gather leaves to make the raft watertight. Six, the cat, helped to tie the branches together with a strong rope. Seven, the mouse, found some nuts and berries to eat on their journey. Eight, the fox, suggested they take a map to not get lost.

Nine, the horse, pulled the raft to the river with his strong legs and Ten, the sheep, suggested they bring a blanket to keep them warm on their adventure.

Finally, they set off on their raft and had a wonderful journey. They found the treasure at the end of the journey, which was a beautiful waterfall, and they all agreed that the journey was the real treasure. They returned home with a lot of happy memories and continued to have many more adventures together.

The end.

Reflections

  1. What traits did each of the friends have that helped them on their journey?
  2. Why do you think the journey was the real treasure, instead of the actual treasure they found?
  3. How do you think the friends felt at the end of the story? Why do you think they felt that way?
