Taxes and Allowances in a Thriving Community

Once upon a time in a community, the government was responsible for collecting taxes from its citizens. The taxes included income tax, sales tax, property tax and more. People would earn a salary from their jobs, and the government would take a portion of it as income tax. When they went to purchase something, they would also pay sales tax on top of the price.
However, the government believed in fairness and would also provide allowances to those in need. And so, everyone contributed to the community, and the community thrived.
The end.
