The town that saved its groundwater

Here's a short story:

Once upon a time, there was a town that relied on groundwater for all its water needs. People were happy and everything was going well until one day, they noticed that the groundwater was getting polluted. They found out that the cause of the pollution was the landfill near the town where people were throwing away non-biodegradable waste. The amount of waste was increasing every day and it was polluting the groundwater.

The town decided to take action and started to produce more biodegradable waste and also started to compost organic waste. With this new habit, the town was able to reduce the amount of waste that was being sent to the landfill and the groundwater slowly started to get cleaner.

The end.
