The Frontier of Equality

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a frontier where different animals lived. There was a problem in the frontier, discrimination. Some animals were treated unfairly and were not given the same opportunities as others.

But, there was a group of animals who decided to protect their friends by creating a reservation where everyone was treated equally. They built a strong community and worked together to make it a safe and happy place.

One day, a settler came to the frontier looking for an opportunity. The animals were suspicious of the settler because they were used to humans treating them badly. But, the leader of the reservation gave the settler a chance to prove themselves.

The settler worked hard and helped the animals in any way they could. Soon, the animals learned that the settler was kind and trustworthy. They became great friends and the settler was accepted into the community.

From that day on, the reservation was a place where all animals were treated with respect and equality. They learned that it doesn't matter what you look like or where you come from, what's important is how you treat others. And, they lived happily ever after, except for a few minor squabbles here and there, but that's another story.

Reflections

  1. Why was the reservation created?
  2. How did the settler prove themselves to be a good friend?
  3. What did the animals learn about treating others at the end of the story?
  4. Can you think of a time when you treated someone unfairly? How did it make you feel?
  5. How can we all work together to create a world without discrimination?
