Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sophie. She had two arms with ten fingers on each hand, two legs to run and play with, two ears to hear all the wonderful sounds of the world, two eyes to see all the beautiful colors and shapes, and a nose and face to smell and express her emotions.
One day, while playing in the park, Sophie tripped and fell on her hands and knees. She scraped her nose and her hands hurt from trying to catch herself. She got up, and looked at her scraped hands and nose. She felt a little sad and teary eyed, but she didn't cry. Her mother came over to her and gave her a hug, and Sophie felt better.
Her mother told her, "Sophie, your arms and legs are there to help you run and play, your ears to hear, your eyes to see, your nose and face to smell and express your emotions, and your fingers and hands are there to create and hold things. Each and every one of your body parts is special and important."
Sophie smiled and said, "I'm so glad I have all my body parts, even my scraped nose and hands. I'll be more careful next time."
Sophie went back to playing with her friends, running, laughing and using all her body parts to their fullest. She was grateful for her arms, legs, ears, eyes, nose, face, fingers, and hands. She knew that they were all special and important, and she promised to take care of them always.
The end.
