One of the most important creatures in the ocean was called plankton. Plankton was small and couldn't move very well on its own, but it was the favorite food of many other creatures.

One day, a big and fierce predator appeared in the ocean. This predator was hunting and eating a lot of the plankton, and the other creatures in the ocean were getting worried. The plankton population was getting smaller and smaller, and soon it might be gone forever.

The creatures decided that they needed to do something to help the plankton. They knew that the predator was very strong and active, so they needed to find a way to protect the plankton that was passive and vulnerable.

One day, a wise old turtle had an idea. He suggested that the plankton should move to a different part of the ocean, where the water was cooler and calmer. This part of the ocean was called the temperate zone, and the turtle thought that the predator would not like it there because it was too cold.

So, the plankton started to migrate to the temperate zone, and to everyone's surprise, the predator did not follow. The plankton were safe, and they were able to reproduce again. Soon, there were more plankton than ever before, and all of the creatures in the ocean were happy.
