Afternoon at the Park

Friends choose between the slide, the swing, and a boat on the lake, then plan a small barbecue before going home.

Read together

Joy: Race you to the slide! Then the swing by the lake.

Ken: After that, can we take the boat if someone helps with the paddle?

Joy: If the guard says yes. First hopscotch on the path.

Ken: I saw an exercise bicycle near the gate. Want a turn later?

Joy: Maybe. The seesaw needs two people — save that for last light.

Ken: My uncle might start a barbecue. We should ask before we smell smoke.

Joy: Slide, swing, hopscotch, boat, then food. Perfect park plan.

Ken: Deal. Last one to the slide carries the paddle back! They checked the meaning once more, spoke the key words aloud, and ended with a calm line that made the whole scene easy to remember the next day.
