Before the Music Show

A singer and a friend check the stage — guitar, drums, and audience seats — minutes before the band starts.

Read together

Singer: Is the guitar tuned? I hear a buzz on the high string.

Friend: Tuned. The violin is ready too. Drum set is set stage left.

Singer: Where is the electronic piano? I need it for the slow song.

Friend: Behind you. Test one chord — soft for the first number.

Singer: The audience is still finding seats. Should we wait?

Friend: Two minutes. The band is calm. You look ready for the show.

Singer: If the drum set is too loud, can we ask for a quieter start?

Friend: Wave once. The drummer watches you every show.

Singer: Okay. Guitar first, then piano, then the big chorus.

Friend: Smile at the audience when the lights rise. They came for this music.

Singer: Thanks. Cue the band — the show begins.
