The Bright Night Light

A child picks the right night light — not too high, not too dim — after a story about a knight who needed a bright path.

Read together

At night the hallway felt long. The old light was high on the wall and too dim
near the floor. "I need the right night light," said Cam.

Cam's book told of a knight who walked a dark road. The knight followed a bright
lantern until the path felt safe. Cam smiled. "Bright is better than guessing."

Together they chose a small lamp with a soft shade. It was not high like the
ceiling bulb. It sat on the shelf at the right height for tired eyes.

That night Cam read one more page about the knight, then slept. The light stayed
gentle until morning. Outside, stars were bright too — but the little lamp was
enough to make the dark feel friendly.
