On the first morning of Pet Day, friends gathered at the center of the room.
They wanted to decorate a table for every animal that would visit.
"Let's cut paper into a big circle," said Mina. "A circle has no sharp corner
for a dog to bump."
They used safe scissors to cut and decorate the circle with leaf shapes.
A small drawing of a goat smiled from one edge. Someone wrote "good friends"
in careful letters around the rim.
When it was time to eat, they set fruit in the center so everyone could share.
The dog waited politely. The goat, visiting from a nearby farm display, sniffed
the air but did not jump on the table.
"First the animals, then us," Mina said. The friends agreed. Decorating felt
easy when everyone helped, and the bright circle made the whole room feel ready.
