Animal Adventures in the Field

Once upon a time, in a field so green,
A group of animals were seen,
A bear, a badger, and a bee,
With a butterfly, bird, and a ball, you see.

They all wore boots so big and bright,
To dance and play with all their might,
And when they got tired from all the fun,
They ran to the barn, to rest and run.

The bee brought a banana, sweet and yellow,
For all to share, and nibble, and swallow,
And the bird sang a song, so pretty and clear,
To make everyone smile, and feel so dear.

The badger ran and chased the ball,
And the bear jumped so high, so tall,
And the butterfly fluttered around,
In the air, without making a sound.

Together they played, until the sun went down,
And each of them smiled, without a single frown,
For they knew they had each other, and that was true,
Friends forever, old and new.

Reflections

  1. Who are the different animals in the poem, and what are their different characteristics?
  2. What did the animals do in the field, and how did they spend their time together?
  3. Why did the animals wear boots, and what purpose did they serve?
  4. What did the bee bring to share with the other animals, and how did they all feel about it?
  5. How did the animals feel at the end of the day, and what did they learn about being friends with others who are different from themselves?
