Let's Dance and Play with Creatures Great and Small".

Come children, let's dance and play
Through the door, we'll make our way
A dragonfly floats in the air
Fluttering by without a care

A doll to hold, a duckling to pet
These little things we won't forget
And if we go down to the bay
A dolphin might swim by to say hey!

So let's twirl and spin and prance
And let our imagination dance
With all these creatures great and small
We'll have a blast, we'll have a ball!

  1. What animals are mentioned in the poem, and what do they do?
  2. What is the author suggesting we do with our imagination?
  3. How might the children feel as they dance and play with these creatures?
  4. What do you think the author means when they say "These little things we won't forget"?
