Under the Sea Adventure

Children, oh children, come gather around,
Your little feet must be tired and on the ground,
Sit down and rest, take a little break,
We'll have some fun, there's no need to be awake.

You must be thirsty, your throats all dry,
But don't you worry, we've got something to try,
Mum's got some drinks, ice-cold and sweet,
So take a sip, it's a lovely treat.

Now, what's the matter, little boy, so blue?
Are you feeling tired, and don't know what to do?
Don't you fret, we'll fix that soon,
Just close your eyes, and listen to this tune.

And when you wake up, everything will be right,
We'll have some ice cream, a true delight,
All your worries will simply fade,
And you'll be happy, no need to be afraid.

So children, remember, when things get tough,
Just sit down, take a break, and that's enough,
And always remember, no matter what you do,
We'll be here for you, and we'll love you too.

Reflections

  1. What did the children do when they were feeling tired and thirsty?
  2. What did the mum give the children to drink?
  3. What did the children do to have fun and forget their worries?
  4. How did the little boy feel at the beginning of the poem and how did he feel at the end?
  5. Why is it important to take a break and enjoy the simple pleasures in life?
