Read together

Which is full and which is empty?
Look inside, let's not be hasty!
This one here is big and bold,
The other one's small, we're told.

Which is sharp and which is dull?
Be careful now, don't be a fool.
This one here is pointy and keen,
The other one's blunt, not so mean.

Give me one, or give me two,
We can share, just me and you.
A little bit for you and me,
To enjoy together, just wait and see.

Which is large and which is tiny?
Let's compare and make it shiny.
This one here is big and grand,
The other one's small, easy to handle by hand.

So let's explore and have some fun,
With words like full, empty, big, and one.
We'll learn and grow, day by day,
And have some laughs and joy on our way!

Talk about it

Reflection

  1. What words can we use to describe the differences between the two things mentioned in the poem?
  2. Why is it important to be careful when trying to identify which thing is sharp and which thing is dull?
  3. How can we use the words from the poem to talk about sharing something with someone else?
