Little Car's Big Repair

Once there was a little car,
It zoomed around both near and far,
But one day it took a turn too fast,
And ended up in quite a crash.

The lamp-post shook and swayed and bent,
The car was broken and badly spent,
But with a little hope and care,
The car knew it could repair.

It tried to start its engine up,
But all it did was sputter and cough,
So it asked a friendly attendant,
To bring it to the garage for mending.

The attendant knew just what to do,
He fixed the car and made it new,
And soon it was zooming down the street,
Faster than ever before, and oh so neat!

So now the car knew it had to be,
More careful when it took a bend or three,
But it was happy to be back on the go,
And with its new strength, it could now glow!

Reflections

  1. What happens to the little car in the beginning of the poem?
  2. What does the car do to try and fix itself after the crash?
  3. How does the attendant help the car?
  4. What does the car learn from the experience?
  5. How do you think the car will behave in the future?
