We trade our things, old and new,

One day we'll retire, that's for sure,
But until then, we must endure,
We work hard because we know,
The cost of living, we must show.

A pound and penny, coins of gold,
Are treasures that we all hold,
But it's not just about the cost,
It's about how long they will last.

Since we were young, we've learned and grown,
But there's still so much we don't know,
So keep on asking, keep on learning,
And with each day, you'll keep on earning.
