The Scottish Adventure of the Youth Association

Once upon a time, not long ago,
A youth association decided to show
Their love for Scotland, its land and its lore,
And they planned a trip to its misty moors.

They gathered at a hostel, eager and bright,
Excitement in their eyes, ready to take flight.
Each one had a card to write,
To send to loved ones, with all their might.

"Dear Mom and Dad," the kids began,
"We're having so much fun in this magical land.
The hills are green, the air is fresh,
And we're learning so much about Scottish zest."

They wrote about the castles grand,
And the stories of the knights who made a stand.
They wrote about the Loch Ness beast,
And how they searched for it without a feast.

"Thank you for sending us on this trip,
We promise to cherish each moment and tip.
We'll be home soon, but for now, we'll explore,
This land of Scotland, we simply adore."

And so, the kids sent their cards with glee,
Knowing their loved ones would soon see,
All the adventures they had on this trip,
To Scotland, a land of magic and mystic.

Reflections

  1. What did the kids write on their cards to their loved ones back home?
  2. What kind of things did the kids get to see and learn about during their trip to Scotland?
  3. What is a hostel and how is it different from a hotel?
  4. Have you ever gone on a trip with a group of friends? Where did you go and what did you do?
  5. If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go and why?
