The Boy Who Learned to Help: A Lake's Surprise

Once upon a time, in a land far away
There lived a young boy who liked to play
He loved to run and jump and shout
But sometimes he'd be mean and pout

One day he went down to the lake
To splash and play and make a break
But what a surprise he was in for
The lake had dried up and was no more

He looked around and saw a nuisance
A bunch of weeds had caused a hindrance
He knew immediately what he should do
Clean up the weeds and make the water new

So he got to work and worked terribly hard
He pulled and tugged and used his yard
And soon enough the water did flow
And the lake came back, with a happy glow

The boy was proud and learned a lot
That being mean was not a good plot
He helped the lake and in return
He got a lesson, a valuable learn.
