The Golden Harvest

In a country field, oh so grand,
Stands tall corn, row by row, and,
In one corner, oh so bright,
Is a copper sun, shining with light.

Now let's count, one by one,
How many stalks grow 'neath the sun?
Count with care, don't be incorrect,
Let's see how many we can collect.

But wait, we must also remember,
The cost of this crop, from September to November,
It takes hard work and love to sustain,
And many hands to harvest this golden grain.

But when the crop is gathered and the harvest complete,
We'll contain the corn, dry and neat,
Then we'll have a feast, oh so sweet,
And we'll thank the land for its bountiful treat.
