The Silly Sister's Silver Singing Lesson

Come gather round, my little dears,
I'll tell you a tale that's sure to bring cheers,
Of a silly sister with a heart of gold,
Whose story is simple, but never gets old.

She had hair as bright as silver,
And a voice that made the birds shiver,
For when she sang, it was pure delight,
A melody that carried through the night.

She sat by the river, with a fishing hook,
And watched the fish as they swam and shook,
She counted them all, up to the number six,
And then she smiled, as she let out a little hiss.

For one of the fish had taken the bait,
And was struggling hard, to avoid its fate,
But it was no use, it had to sink,
And the sister was happy, she gave a little wink.

But as she went home, she realized with a start,
That the fish and she were not so far apart,
For they were both living beings, similar in a way,
And she decided then and there, to sing a different play.

She sang of kindness, and of how to give,
To be compassionate, and to really live,
And since that day, she was a different single,
No longer silly, but wise and thoughtful, and quite the jingle.
