Sugar, Sun and Summer Fun

Once upon a summer day,
The sun was shining bright and gay.
It was such a perfect sight,
To play outside in such delight.

Suddenly, a breeze came by,
Bringing joy up to the sky.
The weather was suitable, you see,
For running, jumping, and being free.

The kids played games, oh so fun,
Until the day was almost done.
But then they realized with a grin,
They hadn't had their sugar in!

They went inside to get a treat,
Some candy or a cookie sweet.
And oh how successful they felt,
After such a fun day they'd dealt.

The summer sun began to set,
But they would never forget,
The sunny day they had enjoyed,
And all the fun that they employed.
