The Lost Treasure of the Forest

In the world of words, there are many to learn,
Some are clear and direct, while others may turn
Into complicated, convoluted phrases,
That can leave us feeling lost in mazes.

But fear not, young ones, for there's a way,
To make even complex words okay,
Just break them down to their basic parts,
And soon you'll find they're not so hard.

A clear and simple sentence can do,
What a complicated one never knew,
For sometimes less is more, it's true,
And being direct can get you through.

But sometimes words need to be bare,
And that's when things get a little rare,
For a convoluted phrase can be just right,
To express the feelings that we might.

So don't be afraid of these words you see,
For each has a place in vocabulary,
Just take them one at a time, you'll find,
That understanding them is not confined.

  1. What do you think motivated the group of friends to search for the lost treasure?
  2. What were some of the challenges they faced during their adventure?
  3. Did you think the treasure was worth all the effort and risk? Why or why not?
  4. What did the friends learn about themselves and each other during their journey?
  5. How do you think the story might have been different if the friends had not worked together and supported each other?
