The Lost Key Adventure

In the world of letters and words,
There are some things that must be heard.
From A to Z, they all have a place,
And each one has its own special grace.

Some letters are bold and stand out,
While others are quiet and about.
But they all play a part in the show,
And without them, words just wouldn't flow.

An ascender is a tall letter, you see,
Like "l" or "h" or "t" or "b."
They reach up high above the line,
And make our words look quite divine.

To align is to make sure things match,
Like when we stack our books in a batch.
We want them to be in a straight line,
So they look neat and oh so fine.

The body of a letter is what we read,
The part that fills in all the spaces we need.
It's what makes up the word we say,
And helps us communicate in our own special way.

The baseline is where our letters sit,
Like when we write with pen and ink.
It gives them a place to call home,
And helps us read from left to right, like we've always known.

Each character is unique and fine,
Like a puzzle piece that fits in time.
They all have a job to do,
And they work together to make words new.

A bullet is a little dot,
That we use to mark a thought.
It helps us see what we need to know,
And makes our reading easier to show.

And when we center a line of text,
It stands out and looks its best.
It helps us see what's important and clear,
And makes our words sparkle and cheer.

So, young ones, remember these words and more,
And let your love of language soar.
For with these tools at your side,
Your writing will always be filled with pride.
