Journey Across the Sea

In the ocean deep and wide,
Live creatures you can't hide.
Barnacles stick to the hull,
While fish and dolphins frolic and cull.

An anchor keeps a ship in place,
Preventing it from drifting in space.
It's heavy and strong, holding firm,
Ensuring the vessel doesn't squirm.

Armaments are used to defend,
Against pirates who intend to offend.
A bandit on the sea is a thief,
Stealing what they can and causing grief.

Bearing refers to direction and course,
Helping sailors navigate with force.
Using a compass and a map,
They keep the ship on a steady wrap.

A billet is where the crew stays,
A place to rest after long days.
The bilge is where water collects,
Draining it is what the crew expects.

Azimuth is an angle of the sun,
Helping sailors know where they've run.
With all these things in mind,
The ship will sail with safety aligned.
