Lost in the Woods

Skin, oh skin, it covers us all,
Like a blanket, big or small.
It's our signature, unique and true,
No one else has the same as you.

We come in a solo act,
With different hues and shades intact.
Some have freckles, some have scars,
But each one shines like the stars.

We may hear a slur or two,
But don't let it bring you blue.
We stand tall and proud, hand in hand,
With love and kindness as our band.

Like notes on a staff, we stand in line,
Each one special, each one fine.
Together we form a mighty stack,
Strong and beautiful, there's no lack.

So let's celebrate our skin,
And all the beauty that lies within.
For we are all wonderful and grand,
Just the way we are, hand in hand.
