Lost in the Enchanted Forest

In science class we learn
About waves that twist and turn
They come in different shapes and sizes
And have some really cool surprises

Let's start with frequency and hertz
They measure how often waves assert
Themselves upon our sight and sound
Creating a rhythm that's often found

Next up, we have the wavelength
It's the distance of the wave's span
From crest to crest or trough to trough
This feature is what makes waves tough

Amplitude is how big they get
And crest is where they're at their best
But sometimes they can shift and change
And that's when things can get strange

One last thing before we end
A cycle is where waves begin and bend
It's a period of time that's complete
And that's something we can't delete

So now we've learned a lot
About waves that we once forgot
We hope this little poem was fun
And helped you learn about waves, one by one!
