The Many Homes of Our World

In a land far, far away,
Where the mountains meet the bay,
There stood a chateau tall and grand,
With turrets reaching to the land.

But nearby, on a snowy hill,
A funny igloo stood quite still,
Its walls were made of snow and ice,
And it was the perfect place to hide.

In the city, there's an apartment,
Where people live in every compartment,
With elevators up and down,
And the city lights all around.

In the woods, there's a cabin small,
Where the animals roam and call,
It's made of wood and painted brown,
And it's the coziest place around.

In the city, there's a brownstone too,
With steps that lead up to the view,
Of the bustling streets below,
And the skyline's bright and aglow.

But in the countryside, there's a castle grand,
With moats and towers tall and grand,
It's fit for kings and queens of old,
And its stories never get old.

There's a bungalow by the beach,
Where the sand is within reach,
With a porch to sit and watch the waves,
And a place to rest and spend lazy days.

In the jungle, there's a hut,
Where the animals roam and strut,
With a thatched roof and walls of wood,
It's where the adventure feels so good.

In the city, there's a condominium high,
With a view that reaches to the sky,
With balconies that let you see,
The beauty of the city's glee.

And if you want to be unique,
In a place that's cool and chic,
There's a loft that you can find,
With space that's truly one of a kind.

There are many types of homes, you see,
That fit each and every family,
From houses grand to cottages small,
There's a place for you and one and all.
