Adventures in the Land of Wonders

Come with me, dear little one,
We'll go on an adventure, and have lots of fun!
We'll visit places far and near,
And see amazing sights, that are so dear.

First stop, a pagoda with a spire so tall,
It stands like a sentinel, guarding us all.
Next, a monument, so grand and proud,
That tells a story, that's read out loud.

An observatory, up high in the sky,
A place where we can gaze and spy.
And then, a museum, full of treasures untold,
Of ancient artifacts, so precious and old.

A mosque with domes, so beautiful and grand,
We'll stop and sit, in the peaceful land.
A pavilion, with a roof so red,
We'll sit and relax, and rest our head.

A palace, with gates so ornate,
We'll imagine we're kings and queens, who rule the state.
A motel, with cozy rooms to rest,
We'll dream of adventures, in our sweet nest.

A mill, with wheels that turn and churn,
We'll learn about grain, and flour, and how they're earned.
And finally, a monastery, serene and calm,
We'll learn about mindfulness, and spread love like a balm.

Last but not least, a market, so bright and cheery,
We'll try new fruits, and taste food that's not so dreary.
Now, it's time to head back home,
But we'll keep these memories, where we roam.

Reflections

  1. Which was your favorite place the kids visited in the story and why?
  2. What kind of things do you think you could learn about in a museum?
  3. If you could design your own pavilion, what would it look like?
  4. Why do you think it's important to learn about different cultures and their landmarks?
  5. What other places would you like to visit in the Land of Wonders?
