Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily. She had long, curly hair and big, bright eyes. One day, while playing outside, she tripped and fell. She hurt her leg and foot. She rubbed her belly and cried, "Ouch!"
Lily's mother came to see what was wrong. She saw that Lily had scraped her toe and was holding her finger. She gently took Lily's hand and helped her up.
Lily's mother said, "Let's go inside and clean that up." She washed Lily's knee and toe and put a bandage on her finger. Lily smiled and showed her mother her teeth.
Lily's mother said, "You're all better now. Let's go play!" And they did. Lily ran and jumped, using her legs and feet. She used her hands to catch a ball and wiggled her toes. She was so happy that she forgot all about her bump and bruise.
From then on, Lily was more careful when she was playing. She always looked where she was going and used her eyes to watch for any obstacles. And she never forgot to be thankful for her strong, healthy legs, feet, belly, toes, fingers, hands, hair, eyes, knees, and teeth.
