Connecting two points, it's a way to get from here to there.

The resultant is the answer we get, when we add or subtract,
Two or more numbers, it's a mathematical fact.

A slide is a playground toy, with a surface slick and smooth,
Kids go up and down, feeling the wind and the groove.

And finally, the surface, the outside of an object we touch,
It can be smooth or rough, and tells us so much.
